HOP supports //video// markups based on the HTML5 specification
with two extensions which can also be used with a Flash based implementation.

Client codes using //audio// need to load the script ++hop-audio.js++.
They also need to load the ++hop-audio.css++ style sheet. Hence, documents
using //audio// must include in their header, the following statement:

== Codecs and Bakends ==

~~ The codecs supported by the audio markup depend on the selected
backend as well as on the capacity of the backend. For instance, the
++flash++ backend can only play ++flv++ files. The ++html5++ backend
depends on the browser running the page. For instance Firefox supports
++ogg/theora++ and as of beginning of 2010 it is not clear yet what
format is supported by WebKit based browsers.
